- 08/24/09 Cycle 1 Graduate Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Grant - The Scholarly and Creative Activities Committee (SCAC) is pleased to announce the competition for Graduate Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Grants for the fall 2009 semester. Graduate students in good standing may now submit applications for independent projects, conference travel or research required for degree completion. Grants of up to $1,000 may be given. The application deadline is 5:00 P.M., October 09, 2009. Proposals received after the deadline will be ineligible to compete for an award. If your project requires human or animal participants, approval is required by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for the Protection of Human Research Participants or by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) before funding is released. - 08/24/09 Research and Sponsored Programs to Host Informational Forums in September - Research and Sponsored Programs will host one-hour forums to provide graduate students with suggestions on how to better prepare their proposals for submission to the Scholarly and Creative Activities Committee for funding for up to $1,000. The forums will be held Sept. 15, 16, 29 and 30 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and Sept. 22 and 23 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. All forums will be held at the John C. Pace Library, Conference Room 116.
