- 01/02/13 Cycle 2 Graduate Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Grant - The Scholarly and Creative Activities Committee (SCAC) is pleased to announce the competition for Graduate Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Grants for the spring 2013 semester. Graduate students in good standing may now submit applications for independent projects, conference travel or research required for degree completion. Grants of up to $1,000 may be given. The application deadline is 5:00 P.M., CST, Friday, February 8, 2013. Proposals received after the deadline will be ineligible to compete for an award. Applications will be rejected that fail to adhere to the format requirements listed in the guidelines. - 1/9/09 - SCAC Graduate Student Forums - Research and Sponsored Programs will host three one-hour forums to provide graduate students with suggestions, hints and pointers to better prepare their proposals for submission to the Scholarly and Creative Activities Committee for funding up to $1,000. The first forum will be held Jan. 21 from 5 to 6 p.m. in the John C. Pace Library Conference Room 116. The second forum will be held Jan. 27 from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Research and Sponsored Programs Department, Building 11, Conference Room 105. The third forum will be held Jan. 28 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the John C. Pace Library Conference Room 116. Reservations are requested by Jan. 20 to Cheryl Allen at Ext. 6378 or e-mail scac@uwf.edu. Graduate student Scholarly and Creative Activities Committee (SCAC) grants are funded by the Research and Sponsored Programs Trust Fund.
