To comply with federal law governing the protection of human research participants in research, UWF has amended the IRB Policies and Procedures by requiring all investigators to complete the Protection of Human Research Participants computer-based training course from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and attest they have read the Belmont Report and UWF IRB Policies and Procedures.

  This tutorial replaces the National Cancer Institute’s “Human Participant Protections Education for Research Teams” course, which is no longer available. Successful completion satisfies the NIH training requirement for human subjects research.
