RSP, in conjunction with the IP Committee, handles the marketing, licensing and patenting of University technologies. The IP Committee works closely with RSP and faculty in the identification, protection and licensing of new inventions.
This form is used at the time of close out of a sponsored research project or whenever reports of work completed on such a project may indicate that an intellectual property disclosure is appropriate. The form is designed to be used as an interview guide for discussions of potential intellectual property opportunities with (1) employees/investigators involved in the work; (2) chairs/directors/deans/vice president with administrative responsibility for the unit; (3) RSP staff involved in support of the project; (4) University Counsel representatives; and any other interested parties identified by the investigator or the RSP/UC staff.
