Duties

Responsible for providing leadership and support in achieving the mission of RSP and overseeing day-to-day management and supervision of professional and support staff.
Assist the Director of RSP and/or Associate Vice President for Research for overseeing policies, procedures and practices related to acquisition and use of external funding for activities which will help achieve the missions of the university whether in research and scholarship, instruction and its improvement or in community service.
Foster internal and external partnerships that help draw on contracts and grants to build the university capacity, enhance instruction and meet local, state and regional needs.

Duties
Coordination of Proposal Development and Submission

Assists faculty and staff in College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Business (COB), College of Professional Studies (COPS), Continuing Education and other administrative units in planning, developing, and submitting high quality proposals to federal, state, local and private agencies for funding consideration.
Promotes university's research mission by encouraging university community to become actively involved in pursing external funding to support their research endeavors.
Identifies funding opportunities and promotes and coordinates collaborative, interdisciplinary applications when beneficial to the university's mission.
Meets with individual faculty members to identify areas of research interests and also with interested parties outside of the university to develop mutually beneficial projects and related funding opportunities.
